Alaina Dettling from Five Star Bath Solutions presented the company’s grout-free composite wall system, which is made of six waterproof layers reinforced for strength. The non-porous surface resists mold, mildew, and staining, while requiring only mild cleaners for upkeep. The wall finish replicates the look of natural stone using high-resolution imaging beneath a durable acrylic top layer. All grab bars and shelving were installed into wall studs to ensure secure placement.
Installation involved full demolition of the existing tub, tile, and wall structure down to the studs. Any damaged framing or insulation was replaced, followed by installation of a waterproof Shower Shield backer board and leak-proof corner system. The walk-in shower base was set, wall and ceiling panels installed, and chrome fixtures fitted. Vinyl-wrapped waterproof trim was added to the existing window inside the shower space. The project concluded with a final inspection and thorough cleanup.
Five Star Bath Solutions provides a fully transferable lifetime warranty covering all materials, labor, and accessories, with no trip or service fees. Coverage includes the silicone seams for long-term waterproofing. The total cost for the walk-in shower remodel was $13,585, inclusive of accessories, ceiling panel, window trim, and demolition.
