Garrett Bailey, the Five Star Bath Solutions representative, proposed the Smart Choice package featuring a grout-free composite wall surround made of antimicrobial, UV-protected, non-porous Centro material. Panels eliminate grout issues and provide a marble-style surface extending full height. Moisture protection was reinforced with Shower Shield cement board, a mold- and water-resistant barrier that replaces traditional green board or plywood.
The installation replaced an existing tub enclosure and hex tile flooring. A new white thermal-insulated tub was installed along with a composite marble-look wall system, including matching corner shelves. Matte black fixtures specified in the review were replaced with polished chrome, confirmed in the visuals. Curtain rod was kept standard with straight chrome design, not curved. Vinyl plank flooring in a gray woodgrain finish replaced the original hex tile. A new vanity, mirror, and toilet were installed to complete the upgrade.
Work was completed within a two-day window, including demo, prep, flooring, fixture replacement, and full wall panel sealing using antimicrobial silicone. The crew performed haul-away of all debris and addressed wall-to-ceiling moisture risks with a one-piece custom panel.
