The updated bath configuration retained a standard tub layout with new wall surrounds in a light stone-patterned finish. The system includes four built-in corner shelves and two brushed nickel grab bars for added security. A brushed nickel round handheld showerhead with matching trim was installed above a deep white soaking tub. The remodel removed the previous pole-mounted shelving and exposed pipes. Composite wall panels extended across all three shower walls and were carried up to the ceiling for full enclosure, including a ceiling panel in the same finish.
Koren Goettler from Five Star Bath Solutions presented the Smart Choice six-layer composite wall system, which replicates the appearance of real stone without grout or maintenance. She emphasized its waterproof, non-porous, antimicrobial properties, and matte surface finish. The material was selected for both its aesthetics and low-maintenance performance, aligned with the customer’s desire for a practical upgrade. While the original plan included both recessed niches and glass doors, the final installation omitted the niche and retained a curtain rod rather than doors. Grab bars, initially not requested, were added in the final layout.
Installation included a full demo to the studs, plumbing updates with Delta commercial-grade fixtures, and wall preparation with ShowerShield cement-based waterproof backer. All fixtures were sealed using marine-grade silicone to ensure lasting moisture resistance. The composite panels were cut to fit the space with quad-lock corner protection, and installation was completed by in-house professionals. A final walkthrough and cleanup confirmed customer satisfaction with the finished work.
