Five Star Bath Solutions, represented by Johnny Hammer, proposed the Centrel wall system, the company’s premium PVC-based alternative to tile. Centrel is quarter-inch thick, grout-free, and designed to mimic the look of natural stone without the weight or high maintenance. Manufactured in Utah and exclusive to the local region, Centrel panels are scratch resistant, antimicrobial, and heat-sealed for uniformity. Johnny highlighted the seamless one-piece floor pan, marine-grade adhesive bonding, and PVC corner reinforcements for complete waterproofing. The selected finish appears to be a bright, solid white paneling that complemented the customer's request for visual clarity and simplicity. Matching white recessed corner shelves were installed, along with dual grab bars, and a chrome-framed sliding glass door.
Before photos show a tiled alcove with a metal-framed frosted-glass door, single corner soap ledge, and signs of previous tile removal and structural wear. After photos confirm the transformation: full-height Centrel wall panels with sharp corner trim, custom low-threshold base, and expanded corner shelving. Grab bars were added for function and resale, while the sliding door was upgraded to clear glass for improved light and openness. While the customer mentioned frameless options during consultation, the final result retained a chrome frame, indicating a budget-focused or staged solution. The drain remains centered, suggesting either cost prioritization or prior framing limitations.
Installation included full demo, subfloor repair, new plumbing connections, and custom wall paneling. Johnny noted the frameless glass could be measured and ordered post-installation with a lead time of three to four weeks, handled through a Kentucky-based glass partner. Temporary measures, such as a curtain, were offered until then. The entire build was sealed with commercial-grade silicone, and cleanup was completed the same day. Five Star’s transferable lifetime warranty includes all installed materials and fixtures, provided they are sourced through their program. No overage charges would apply, even if structural issues were found beyond what was anticipated.
