The finished walk-in shower includes large-format white wall panels with subtle gray veining for a stone-inspired appearance. Accessibility improvements include multiple matte black grab bars positioned for entry and interior support, along with a built-in corner bench for seated comfort. A recessed wall niche provides organized storage while maintaining a streamlined appearance. A straight matte black shower curtain rod completes the enclosure in place of the former setup.
Installation involved complete removal of the previous tub and wall system down to the framing to inspect for hidden damage and ensure proper structural support. Waterproof backer materials were installed prior to fitting the new wall panels and securing all grab bars with reinforced backing. A low-threshold, non-slip shower base was installed to allow easier step-in access. Plumbing connections were updated to accommodate the new handheld shower system. Protective floor coverings were used during demolition and rebuild, and final detailing ensured proper drainage and fixture alignment.
