Shelby Ball from Five Star Bath Solutions introduced the Smart Choice composite wall system made from PVC-based faux-stone panels using high-resolution quartz and granite scans. The walls were installed over a synthetic waterproof Shower Shield backer board, offering full protection from floor to ceiling without the need for grout or caulk. The selected finish resembled white marble with natural grey veining, providing a clean and modern appearance. The pan was a low-threshold slip-resistant solid surface matched to the wall design, allowing for easy step-in access. Matte black Delta fixtures and a round handheld showerhead were installed along with a matte black sliding glass barn-style door made from 3/8" frameless safety glass.
Installation was completed in two days by certified in-house Five Star Bath Solutions employees. Work began with full demolition down to the studs, followed by subfloor and drain inspection, plumbing updates, and installation of the composite slab pan and wall system. Marine-grade silicone was used at all seams to ensure long-term durability without shrinkage or discoloration. A 3D rendering was shared during the planning phase to help the customer visualize the updated space and confirm layout preferences. The existing window was preserved and integrated into the wall design.
Five Star Bath Solutions backed the remodel with a fully transferable lifetime warranty, covering all aspects of the Smart Choice composite system, from drain to ceiling. Shelby also outlined four proposal guarantees: best value match with $100 refund, certified craftsman promise (no subcontractors), no surprise pricing regardless of underlying damage, and full property protection during the installation process. The original estimate of $17,345 was reduced to $14,785 with March discounts and a corporate package upgrade. Only one-third down was required to secure the quote, with installation scheduled for May.
