Customer, Geoffrey, requested conversion of their deteriorating 1920s-era tub surround into a modern, accessible walk-in shower, prioritizing ease of cleaning, structural integrity, and safety. The original cream vinyl insert and curved rod with fabric curtain were replaced by a matte-black, frameless-look sliding glass door and low-threshold walk-in base. A single ADA-compliant diagonal grab bar was installed inside, accompanied by a fold-down teak bench for optional seating. A square rain-style showerhead is paired with a matching handheld wand on a slide bar. Two white composite corner shelves and a recessed niche provide ample storage without grout lines.
