Customer, Steltenpohl, requested to replace their tub with a walk-in shower to reduce fall risk from stepping over the tub. We installed a low-threshold base topped with a slip-resistant square-grid tile floor and clad the walls in light beige marble-look composite panels. A brushed-nickel framed sliding glass door replaced the old curtain rod for a clean, secure entry. For support, we fitted an ADA-compliant vertical grab bar at the doorway and a horizontal bar along the back wall. The shower uses a handheld spray on an adjustable slide bar and includes two molded corner shelves for toiletries. Steltenpohl says the new setup feels safe, accessible, and simple to keep clean.
