Customer, Steltenpohl, requested a tub-to-walk-in shower conversion for safety reasons, with fall prevention as the main concern due to balance issues, especially stepping over the tub. In this installation, the shower features a low-threshold base with a slip-resistant grid tile floor and light beige marble-look composite wall panels. The shower is enclosed with a sliding glass door in a brushed nickel finish, rather than a curtain as originally discussed, providing both safety and a clean appearance. Multiple ADA-compliant brushed nickel grab bars are installed—one vertically by the entry and another horizontally along the back wall for secure support. The shower system includes a handheld showerhead and two integrated corner shelves for storage. The overall design is tailored for both safety and everyday comfort, in line with the customer’s goal to enjoy this final major upgrade for aging in place.
