Andrew explained that Smart Choice panels are twice as thick as standard acrylic and designed for a 40- to 50-year lifespan. Smart Choice offers a consistent, grout-free look without upkeep. White Pearl panels were selected to coordinate with the existing vanity countertop, and matte black hardware was chosen to contrast the white walls and tie in with existing décor. Five Star’s focus on waterproofing, minimal upkeep, and affordability was emphasized. Although no showroom visit occurred, Andrew offered to arrange a viewing of a nearby completed Smart Choice installation for additional confidence.
Installation began with a full demolition down to the studs, including removal of the sliding glass enclosure, tile walls, and old fixtures. Moisture and mold inspection confirmed no hidden damage. Five Star’s exclusive 100% non-organic waterproof backer board was installed to eliminate any risk of mold behind the panels. Plumbing was updated, and the new white low-threshold shower base was set. Smart Choice panels were cut and installed on all three walls, integrating three corner shelves in the rear right corner. Matte black plumbing fixtures, including a wall-mounted rain-style handheld showerhead and matching valve trim, were installed. A black-framed semi-frameless glass door was mounted on a low-threshold track. Existing tile floor remained unchanged, as it was in good condition and coordinated with the new white-and-black color scheme. Installers completed the project within two days. All debris and packaging were removed on the final day, with no dumpster required.

Quoted price remained fixed at $13,505, regardless of any unforeseen conditions discovered during installation.
