The final remodel included a wall-to-wall walk-in shower system featuring white marble-look composite panels with grey veining, installed full height for visual continuity. The original framed textured glass door was replaced with a modern clear sliding glass door on metal rails, improving light reflection and accessibility. A handheld showerhead was added, and the valve system was replaced with updated Delta fixtures. Two corner shelves were installed for product storage, in place of the original metal basket. Ceiling paneling was not included in the final build, and the original flooring was left intact, with no vinyl plank upgrade observed.
Stacy Drake explained the features of the six-layer PVC composite wall material, emphasizing its mold resistance, non-porous surface, and long-term durability. Compared with acrylic and fiberglass, the matte-textured composite provided a more realistic finish while maintaining ease of cleaning. Stacy also introduced plumbing upgrade options and reviewed layout adjustments during the pre-construction meeting, where accessory placement and fixture height were finalized with the customer.
Installation involved removing the old surround down to the studs, inspecting for water damage, and replacing necessary components behind the wall. New waterproof DensShield backer board was installed before the wall panels were mounted. Certified installers completed the wet area remodel with tight fit and alignment for the sliding door system. The plumbing trim, valve, and showerhead were upgraded, and the work was completed without changes to the existing floor tile or ceiling paneling.
The remodel is covered by Five Star Bath Solutions' fully transferable lifetime warranty, including coverage for fixtures, wall panels, labor, and installation. The company’s White Bear Lake ownership and direct post-install support were presented as part of the long-term value offering. Customer appreciated the transparent pricing and ability to confirm finishes prior to installation.
