The final configuration included a fixed glass enclosure surrounding a corner shower, with full-height composite wall panels in a deep gray marble finish. A recessed niche was added inside the shower wall for product storage. A chrome-finished handheld showerhead with adjustable height and diverter was mounted along the main wet wall. The tub remained in the same position but was re-trimmed using the same marble-finish wall system as the shower, creating a cohesive visual link between both areas. Finishes were polished chrome throughout, and all former tile was removed from both wet zones.
Stacy Drake from Five Star Bath Solutions introduced the company’s proprietary six-layer composite panel system, emphasizing its durability, non-porous surface, and mold resistance. Unlike traditional grout and tile systems, the panels are installed using a sealed edge-to-edge system with no exposed seams. Stacy explained the difference between entry-level plastic panels and the premium solid-surface system selected for this project, which offers stronger thermal stability and long-term ease of maintenance. A recessed niche replaced hanging racks, and no built-in seat was used to maintain open floor space.
Installation included a full removal of the original shower tile, subfloor preparation, and reinforcement of the back walls with DensShield waterproof backing. All plumbing was updated with new Delta valves and pressure-regulated connections. Flooring was upgraded to a light gray waterproof vinyl plank that runs consistently through the space. Final fitment of the glass door system and niche shelf was completed after all panels were mounted and trimmed. Work was completed in a two-day timeline, including debris removal and final cleaning.
Five Star Bath Solutions provided a lifetime warranty covering labor, materials, and installation service. The final cost reflected discounts for bundled upgrades and online participation, and all elements were installed by in-house certified craftsmen without subcontractors. Financing options were presented, but the project was finalized in one payment cycle. The customer appreciated the refined layout, reduced maintenance burden, and more contemporary finish.
