Mitch Kenitzer of Five Star Bath Solutions presented the Smart Choice package featuring quarter-inch-thick, antimicrobial, scratch-resistant panels backed by non-organic materials to prevent mold. Installation includes full demolition to studs, PEX plumbing, a custom composite pan, and pressure-balanced Delta fixtures, all completed in one day. Glass door lead time is six to eight weeks.
The installation would include a complete demo down to the studs and subfloor, with replacement of the subfloor at no extra charge if necessary. All plumbing would be updated with modern PEX lines, including the trap and pressure-balanced Delta fixtures. The walk-in shower base would be a custom-fit composite pan with a light texture for slip resistance. Mitch estimated a one-day installation window, with a scheduling lead time of approximately six to eight weeks. The custom glass door would be ordered after the install for precise fitting and would arrive about six weeks later, during which a temporary curtain could be used.
Five Star Bath Solutions provides a comprehensive, non-prorated, lifetime transferable warranty on all labor, materials, sealants, and fixtures. Delta’s lifetime warranty on the included faucet system is also honored in full. The initial MSRP for the project was $18,125. With a 75% installation promotion, same-day decision discount, and a $500 cash discount, the final project price offered was $13,000. A 30-day price lock was set at $14,000, providing the customer with flexibility to decide after consultation with her spouse.
