These panels install over proprietary Shower Shield backer boards that are 100% waterproof and reinforced with quad-lock corner protection to resist leaks and mold. Tom explained the benefits of low-maintenance components and presented brushed nickel Delta fixtures, though the customer ultimately selected matte black. He also provided design guidance on accessories and color matching for cohesive visual flow.
The new upstairs tub system included a white, contoured soaking tub with a curved backrest, paired with high-contrast Centrel composite panels in a marble design with gray and taupe veining. The matte black Delta fixture package included a wall-mounted tub spout, control trim, and handheld showerhead with slide bar. Three corner shelves were integrated for storage, and a matching black curved curtain rod was installed. A recessed niche was centered on the back wall for additional utility. One safety bar was originally planned but not installed per the final photos. The flooring was replaced with a weathered wood-look plank that matched the updated window trim.
Installation followed the standard process beginning with demolition to the studs. Images show the plumbing roughed in and tub water-tested before panels were installed. Five Star’s waterproof backer boards were secured in place and trimmed to accommodate the lighting recess. All work was completed without the use of a dumpster, and all materials were hauled away by trailer. The completed system showed tight wall-to-panel transitions and matched accessory placements.
Five Star Bath Solutions provided a lifetime transferable warranty covering both product and labor, including plumbing and sealing work. No fees were charged for future service calls or material replacements. The final finish details and accessory placements were confirmed post-contract. Installation was scheduled 6–8 weeks out, with a pre-construction meeting held 7–10 days after agreement.
