The remodeled space includes a solid composite low-threshold shower pan with increased 32-inch depth, paired with full-height wall panels in a gray-veined marble pattern. A single corner shelf and recessed shave step provide streamlined utility. Chrome hardware was installed, including a handheld showerhead and valve trim. The original framed glass door system was retained and integrated into the updated surround. A slim safety grab bar was added below the showerhead for additional stability, and trim details were adjusted to meet the existing angled ceiling line.
Zach Sterling from Five Star Bath Solutions guided the design process using the Smart Choice package. The selected wall system features an antimicrobial, anti-scratch composite surface engineered to resist mold, mildew, and moisture buildup. Zach emphasized the use of the exclusive ShowerShield backer board, which contains no organic materials and eliminates water penetration behind walls. Marine-grade silicone and adhesives were used throughout to ensure longevity without re-caulking.
The installation was scheduled with flexibility to accommodate pre-demo needs. Zach coordinated with the installation lead to ensure reusability of the original shower door, matching trim cut lines to the tight ceiling slope, and preserving surrounding drywall and baseboards. The custom-built shower pan was fabricated onsite to meet dimensional requirements, and shelving positions were finalized during installation to ensure proper alignment and balance.
Five Star Bath Solutions provides a fully transferable lifetime warranty covering all components, labor, and materials, including seals and adhesives. The pricing was finalized at $13,310 after applying existing credits and discounts. Customers received a clear contract with a price-lock guarantee and follow-up support through the design consultant.
