The final remodel features a full walk-in shower enclosure with sliding clear glass doors and a custom composite shower base. Large-format, marble-look composite panels cover the shower walls and ceiling in a seamless, grout-free layout. A recessed window remains framed within the back wall. Two corner shelves match the wall finish and are positioned for easy access. A chrome handheld showerhead on a flexible hose is paired with a wall-mounted control valve. Three chrome grab bars—two horizontal and one vertical—were securely installed. Outside the enclosure, a matching towel bar was mounted on the adjacent wall.

The Five Star Bath Solutions representative presented four tiered product options and guided the customer to select the Smart Choice composite system. This system includes antimicrobial, non-porous, scratch-resistant wall panels that resist mold and mildew without the need for grout. The customer opted for a neutral marble finish in matte style, paired with chrome Delta fixtures. The package includes non-caulked, marine-grade silicone sealing for long-term durability and clean appearance. Joey provided digital 3D renderings and discussed visibility factors like fixture finish to reduce water spotting, suggesting chrome or brushed nickel.

Installation was explained in detail and included full demolition to the studs, upgraded plumbing, and subfloor inspection. The original unit was removed and replaced with a new waterproof base system, wall panels, fixtures, and sealed glass enclosure. Slight moisture was identified behind the walls and was addressed before installation proceeded. The project was completed by Five Star’s certified in-house technicians trained at the Detroit facility. Oversight was maintained by the local project manager, ensuring direct communication and quality assurance throughout.

The Smart Choice package includes a lifetime warranty covering both material and installation. Joey clarified that all components, including grab bars and fixtures, are included in the coverage and protected against failure from improper installation.
