The remodeled shower introduced a low-threshold walk-in configuration using composite stone-look panels in a striking marbled gray finish with white veining. Wall panels were installed floor to ceiling without seams, creating a continuous waterproof enclosure. Two designs were executed: one included a built-in triangular bench in the corner, and the other a fold-down wooden seat with wall-mounted brackets. Both showers feature integrated stainless steel grab bars, a rain-style handheld showerhead, and corner shelving for storage. No doors were installed at the time, though framing for a future glass enclosure is visible in one setup.
A representative from Five Star Bath Solutions, explained the use of six-layer PVC composite panels for their durability, stone-like appearance, and antimicrobial surface. He emphasized the material’s water resistance, ease of maintenance, and mold-preventive design, reinforced by the use of non-organic foam backer board. Custom-made shower pans with non-slip bases were included. The representative confirmed that all components are made in the U.S., and that Delta commercial-grade faucets were used to ensure reliable performance. Glass upgrades are treated with water-resistant coating to prevent mineral buildup.
Installation included full demolition to the studs, updated plumbing, drain replacement, wallboard reinforcement, and installation of all customer-requested fixtures. Additional elements such as the vanity, painting, and trim were available upon customer request. The entire process was completed by bonded and insured in-house installers. Post-project cleanup and disposal of all removed materials were included.
