Although the original request included a built-in seat and grab bar, these elements were ultimately not installed. A brushed nickel handheld shower fixture and a swing-door frameless enclosure were selected, both with smooth finishes and easy-maintenance features.
Installation began with full demolition of the prior shower down to the studs, followed by mold inspection and repair as needed. New moisture-resistant backing was installed, then sealed with composite wall panels and a slip-resistant base with a subtle geometric texture. A frameless door system with brushed nickel trim and spot-resistant glass completed the enclosure. Installers followed dust control procedures and kept the area clean throughout the two-day remodel, as confirmed by the precise transitions and wall protection visible in the finished space.
Five Star Bath Solutions includes a fully transferable lifetime warranty for all Smart Choice remodels. Coverage applies to workmanship, materials, and system performance, including plumbing fixtures and wall systems. This warranty remains in effect through ownership changes and includes responsive service support for any issues that may arise. Customer-provided vanity and dry-area updates were coordinated separately but supported by Five Star’s pre-install prep and drywall patching as needed to ensure a seamless final result.
