A matching composite shower base replaced the previous white pan, maintaining clean lines and flush geometry. A semi-frameless clear bypass glass door was retained with brushed nickel hardware, allowing full visibility into the updated enclosure. A horizontal grab bar was added inside for stability, paired with a new handheld showerhead on a vertical slide bar. The built-in niche offers two compartments for streamlined storage. No freestanding tub, vanity, bidet, or fireplace elements are present in the completed project.
Brad Mercer of Five Star Bath Solutions presented the Smart Choice package, which includes antimicrobial composite resin walls manufactured in six bonded layers for structural integrity. These wall systems are grout-free, mold-resistant, and scratch protected. Brad explained the customizable finish options and how the chosen neutral tone aligned with the customer’s design goals for a timeless, low-maintenance space. Plumbing upgrades were completed during installation, and all wall panels were cut to exact measurements for a tailored fit.
Installation began with full demolition of the previous tile system and curb base, followed by subfloor and drain inspection. Cement-coated waterproof backer board was applied prior to composite panel installation. The layout was digitally measured in advance to ensure precise panel alignment and niche placement. Fixture locations, including grab bar height and wand position, were confirmed before final installation. A recessed ceiling light was also added to brighten the shower zone.
Work was completed in two days by Five Star’s in-house certified installation team. Existing elements such as the floor tile and baseboards outside the enclosure were preserved. The remodel adhered to the customer’s vision for a flat, minimal, and maintenance-friendly space without overly complex design interruptions.
The customer’s Smart Choice package is covered under a true lifetime warranty that includes all product components, labor, and workmanship. Glass elements such as the bypass doors carry a one-year manufacturer warranty. Brad reviewed key guarantees including a fixed-price commitment, property protection during install, and support for any future service needs.
