Dean Hartley is the Brand President of Five Star Bath Solutions. He joined the bathroom remodeling business over 20 years ago to step away from his life as a financial planner. Since then, he’s worked just about every job in the business and has coordinated over 12,000 bathroom renovations himself. Today, he owns 8 franchise locations in which he’s doubled the size during each of the past 3 years. He’s continually looking for ways to expand the brand and please customers.
Interests & Educational Background
Outside of work, Dean loves to travel. This was made evident by his semester abroad at St. Peter's College in Oxford. He attended the University of Michigan, next to his hometown of Rochester, and took that semester abroad when the opportunity presented itself. It wasn't until after he graduated with a bachelor's degree that he realized finances weren't his passion, bathrooms were.
Dean has since turned that passion into one of the nation's premiere bathroom renovation companies. His mission through Five Star Bath Solutions is to provide the best possible products, services, and value to customers and franchise partners.
Goals and Aspirations
As part of this goal, he has created multiple different platforms of knowledge that are readily available to customers. Under his leadership, guidebooks have been written, blogs have been created, and videos and advertising completed for the sole purpose of educating customers.
Dean doesn't believe in pressure sales. He creates these products to be upfront about all the valuable, pertinent information to the customer. After having gone through the information, they can decide if Five Star Bath Solutions is right for them. Dean says, "the trick is once our customers understand everything we offer, they never leave. We're always right for them."
